Watermelon Days-Hebron, ND
The small town of Hebron is busy with festivals and events to assure everyone that there are still activities that are just plain fun. Come to this community which is just 60 miles from Bismarck and enjoy some old fashioned, clean cut family fun.
The fun begins in early July. This time of year is perfect for enjoying the watermelon that is cut up and given away all day long…come and get your fill of this true taste of summer.
The Hebron Business club serves 1000 pounds watermelon to all people attending. This is a way to thank people for their past patronage.
There are turtle races and egg toss. This is all held on Main Street in Hebron. Later in the afternoon they have canoe races on the Little Knife river here in Hebron. We have four canoes and two couple teams race for the best time. There is a small entry fee and trophies are awarded to the winners. After the races there is a burger and brat feed provided by the Hebron Lions Club for a fee.
