Roger Maris Museum - Fargo, North Dakota
If you are a baseball fan you know about the legendary Roger Maris and his sixty-one home runs in 1961. His 61 in ‘61 set a new major league record, breaking Babe Ruth’s previous mark of 60 hit in 1927.
Red Trail Vineyard - Buffalo, North Dakota
The Red Trail Vineyard is named after the historically significant Old Red Trail, one of the first established wagon and cart trails which guided settlers through Dakota Territory. The dedication, drive and determination required by the pioneers set the standard for the vineyard, it too took those same qualities to get the vines planted and the harvest in to create the wine enjoyed by so many.
Red River Zoo - Fargo, North Dakota
The zoo is located on thirty-three acres of land in the southwest area of Fargo. This beautifully landscaped zoo has not only fabulous, beautiful exhibits, rolling hills but also has a series of five ponds connected by flowing streams.
Plains Art Museum - Fargo, North Dakota
The Museum is in a renovated redesigned turn-of-the-century warehouse formerly an International Harvestor (IH) branch house in downtown Fargo, North Dakota. It opened to the public in October 1997.
North Dakota Horse Park - Fargo, North Dakota
Let’s go to the races! North Dakota Horse Park is the only major track in the state. Not only do they have thoroughbreds running the one mile track but they have harness racing, horse shows, therapeutic riding, rodeos, and 4-H events (some still in the planning stages so check with the track to see what is current.)
Maury Wills Museum - Fargo, North Dakota
Opened in 2001 the museum is dedicated to telling the story of one of baseballs primier players, Maury Wills. The museum is located on the ground floor of Newman Outdoor Field. Maury started his association with the Hawks in their innaugural year (1996) as a coach and instructor.
Fargo Force - Fargo, North Dakota
Come and enjoy Tier 1 United States Hockey League’s (USHL) newest team - Fargo Force! With Fargo Force entering the picture there are now 13 teams in this league designed to develop new hockey talent among the youth of the area.
Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks - Fargo, North Dakota
Are you a baseball fan? Did you know that there is professional baseball in Fargo? The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks play at Newman Outdoor Field. The joint venture was created by the RedHawks, the City of Fargo and North Dakota State University and opened in 1996.
Fargo Air Museum - Fargo, North Dakota
The planes on display at the museum are truly a piece of history, such as the Goodyear F2G-1D Super Corsair - World’s only flying Super Corsair - one of only three known to exist in the world today! The plane was privately owned and won the Cleveland Air Race in 1946. There is also the North American P-51D Mustang - Called the "Mustang," the P-51 is perhaps the best-known fighter of WWII. With its Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, the P-51 quickly became the war’s dominant fighter plane.
