Red River Zoo – Fargo, North Dakota

The Red River Zoo, opened just about a decade ago, sits on more than thirty acres of land and features over 80 different species of animals. Some of the most impressive animals at the zoo are the ones that you won’t find in captivity in many other places. These include red pandas, white-lipped deer, Pallas cats, and Tanuki.

Of course, you will also be able to find all of your favorite zoo animals there as well, from the miniscule meerkats to the big bison. The zoo is also has a new exhibit that is sure to please animal lovers. It is called Spirits of the Forest Gray Wolf Exhibit where you can watch the adorable antics of young wolf pups as they grow into adulthood.

In addition, the kids won’t want to miss taking a ride on the1928 Allen Herschel Carousel.
