Dakota Dinosaur Museum - Dickinson North Dakota
The Dakota Dinosaur Museum is located at 200 East Museum Drive in Dickinson, North Dakota. It began when the collections of Alice and Larry League began to exceed their dinosaur collection storage space. They needed more space to preserve and display their specimens which numbered in the thousands.
Theodore Roosevelt National Park - Medora North Dakota Badlands
In the midst of the colorful North Dakota badlands stands the Theodore Roosevelt National Park - 70, 447 acres named after the twenty-sixth president of the United States. The park, which is broken into three separate units, includes facilities for camping, horseback riding, hiking, and fishing among other things.
Yippy Kiyay! North Dakota now has its own Cowboy Hall of Fame to honor the best there is and was in ranching, rodeo, Native Americans, and just all around Western lifestyle. Included in this 15,000 square foot building are the Hall of Honorees, an interpretive center complete with cultural exhibits, a theatre, multi-purpose meeting center, archives library, gift shop, and a children’s area. Of course, we can’t forget the beautiful view.
The Enchanted Highway - Regent, North Dakota
If you take exit 72 off Interstate 94 near Dickinson, North Dakota, you might just see some amazing sights. This stretch of highway is known as the Enchanted Highway, which stretches for 32 miles, right into the town of Regent, North Dakota. The Enchanted Highway is the artistic creation of local Regent resident, Gary Greff.
